What you'll find here:

This blog is a collection of vintage advertisements, posted Monday through Friday. All ads are scans from magazines in my collection (or those of my friends), so I claim no copyright over them. Remember, these ads are from bygone eras: don't get upset if you see something you don't like, nor excited if you see something you do.

If you particularly like an ad and want a hi-res copy for yourself, email or message me and I can send you one.

Two-fer Tuesday!

Playboy Jan 1969
Yes, two.  Twosday.

Of particular note in this ad: a drinking game which seems to imply adult fun of the "swinging" type.   I've never seen an ad for a drinking board game... I wonder if Spencer's sells them?
Ad text:

His secret made Tribuno America's best selling vermouth.
No wonder he keeps it under his hat!
Only this man, John L. Tribuno, knows the secret for making vermouth to suit the American taste... and he keeps it under his hat!  The secret lies in the blending of over 30 rare botanicals into a vermouth that never overpowers.  Tribuno Extra-Dry for extra-dry martinis.  Tribuno Sweet for smooth manhattans.
Tribuno is America's favorite vermouth... and that's no secret.

Play Frank Bresee's Pass-Out
The nationwild party-drinking game that's stimulating spree-loving guys and gals everywhere.  Each dice roll creates merrymaking galore for 2 or more.  Side-splitting antics result from screwy diversions.  Play to win but losers have all the fun.  Packaged with colorful board, pieces and easy instructions.
