This blog is a collection of vintage advertisements, posted Monday through Friday. All ads are scans from magazines in my collection (or those of my friends), so I claim no copyright over them. Remember, these ads are from bygone eras: don't get upset if you see something you don't like, nor excited if you see something you do.
If you particularly like an ad and want a hi-res copy for yourself, email or message me and I can send you one.
h.i.s was apparently way before of it's time. Wearing nice clothes as a statement against mainstream nonconformity. "I've been wearing slacks after it was cool, man..."
Please click to see this bigger. I'm digging on the fantastic mid-century modern style of those speakers. Not sure how well it really disperses sound, though.
Funny how some themes resurface. This ad for cologne and aftershave features a guy whose wife mercilessly assaults him with affection when she smells him. Sounds a bit like those Axe commercials a few years back, doesn't it?
