What you'll find here:

This blog is a collection of vintage advertisements, posted Monday through Friday. All ads are scans from magazines in my collection (or those of my friends), so I claim no copyright over them. Remember, these ads are from bygone eras: don't get upset if you see something you don't like, nor excited if you see something you do.

If you particularly like an ad and want a hi-res copy for yourself, email or message me and I can send you one.

Madisonaire Style

Playboy Sept. 1964
Yes, the ad looks like it was scribbled by a highlighter.
No, that wasn't done afterward by a 5-year-old.  It's intentionally yellow.
Ad text:
Camel, the tawny new color.  Camel, solid or blended with blue, black or brown. Madisonaire by Varsity-Town... King of the Camels.
Natural shoulder suits, topcoats, sport coats in an extraordinary variety of new weathered desert colorings. Classically understated, unerringly tailored, with traditional expertise.
Young in spirit, young in price. Naturally.
