What you'll find here:

This blog is a collection of vintage advertisements, posted Monday through Friday. All ads are scans from magazines in my collection (or those of my friends), so I claim no copyright over them. Remember, these ads are from bygone eras: don't get upset if you see something you don't like, nor excited if you see something you do.

If you particularly like an ad and want a hi-res copy for yourself, email or message me and I can send you one.

Dep for Men

Playboy Jan. 1969

Ad text:
Funny how someone with a beef can turn chicken when face to face with Jerry West.  He's six and a half solid feet of man.  And if you think having his hair styled changes that, you're all wet.  Hairstyling does change Jerry's appearance, though.  Like it subtly calls attention away from his nose (broken eight times in N.B.A play).  That's the thing about hairstyling - it makes more than just your hair look better. Try it.  Also try the products that keep your hair looking just-styled every day - Dep for Men Hairdress Styling Gel and Hair Spray.  You only have one head of hair.  Might as well make the best of it.
